2. Newsgroups reader software Choice/setup
For this tutorial, I choose Grabit which is a complete software logiciel for downloading Newsgroups binaries. You can download
the latest version of this software here.
When Grabit is installed and for it's first start up, you need to set up Newsgroups server with datas previously recovered by e-mail
after your suscription to your provider.
Don't forget to tick the box "News (NNTP) server requires a username and password".
Then put your username et password and click on Next:
Let the box ticked and click on Finish:
Grabit starts and try to recover available Newsgroups list on this server :
You must set up the server by a right click of your mouse and choose "Server properties" :
Change the maximum allowed connections to between 1 to 3 :
