There are two types of Newsgroups softwares: text readers softwares and binaries download softwares.
Text readers softwares
These softwares (news readers) permit to read and send simple articles in Newsgroups. They are also able
to organize hierarchically messages in threads. That permits to see everything and follow all user's
answers.
There are also the possiblity to directly use web interfaces to access to Newsgroups. This can be sufficient
for beginners who don't want to download all headers in a group.
As a general rule, these softwares can't be used to download binaries.
Binaries download softwares
The goals of these softwares is to download and post binaries (video games, films, musics...) through
Newsgroups.
